Connect with yourself

Meet your instructor, Lindsay!
As a former gymnast, I was immediately drawn to the physicality of yoga when I took my first class in college. Over the years, my practice has evolved and been informed by pivotal life experiences, including living in Asia, cancer survivorship, and social justice work. I now appreciate the emotional and spiritual aspects of yoga as well.
My classes offer an integrative approach, emphasizing the whole mind-body-spirit. I enjoy developing creative yoga sequences, challenging students to safely explore their edge, and offering options to accommodate physical limitations. I am a lover of the outdoors and an avid hiker, snowshoer and sailor. I bring my yoga classes outdoors whenever possible. I hold a PhD and RYT certification, have been an educator for over thirty years, and have a deep passion for learning and development.
The limitless opportunity to grow, practice, and evolve is one of my favorite things about yoga!

Our Yoga Styles
Hatha Flow
Flow-based Hatha yoga builds strength, endurance, and a strong focus. You’ll move through a series of Hatha postures, linking breath with movement, pausing in postures to observe alignment get the full benefits. Mindfulness and pranayama (breathing exercises) are integral parts of the class. Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga provides balance to active (yang) yoga and busy contemporary lifestyles. Focusing on long-held floor poses combined with breath work and meditation, yin yoga targets connective tissues of the body—the ligaments, joints, and deep fascia. Yin yoga focuses on the hips, pelvis, and low back- which are difficult to open, resulting in both limited flexibility and stagnant energy. This practice is gentle, yet intense, helping students to not only open the body, but also cultivate the ability to observe and stay with sensation. Suitable for all levels.
Gentle Yoga
Gentle yoga classes are a great place to take it slower, and still experience all the benefits of yoga. Classes focus on releasing tension, connecting with the breath, and helping students gain strength and flexibility. Gentle Yoga uses classical Hatha postures with slight variations to accommodate all levels of yoga students.
